Aroma selection relative to the dosha
Originating in India, the science of Ayurveda has been teaching how to nurture the body for thousands of years. The basis of Ayurvedic methods is based on the doshas - otherwise known as energies or psychophysical types - which affect many elements in a person's life. Each energy type has different specific characteristics and varied needs. For ideal balance, these differences should be taken into account in all areas of life, including nutrition, the use of beauty treatments and building one's environment. Aromatherapy is a powerful tool used in ensuring internal balance and stimulating vital energy, so the scent around us should also be selected according to the dosha.
Characteristics of Kapha
Kapha energy is derived from water and earth. Individuals with Kapha dosha are characterized by strength and endurance, but are somewhat sluggish. The Kapha dosha is a strongly built body with a tendency to be overweight. People with this dosha possess inner peace, are poised, loyal and loving. However, they need a boost, an intense dose of energy. The aromatherapy set for Kapha is based on two basic scents patchouli and ambergris. Their sweet, slightly spicy aroma awakens the senses and vital energy - prana. It helps restore the body's natural balance.
The set consists of:
- 25 grams of handmade incense sticks,
- 10 cones,
- ceramic incense cone stand.
- Use to regain inner balance and stimulate vital energy.
- Place the thin incense sticks in the opening of a wooden or stone saucer (not included in the kit), so that the ashes fall onto the saucer.
- For aromatic cones, use the round ceramic saucer, which is part of the set.
- Fire the incense stick, after a while extinguish it so that the aromatic smoke rises.
- Make sure that the room where incense is used is properly ventilated.
- Do not use incense near flammable objects (e.g., books, newspapers) or on surfaces that can be easily damaged.
- Do not move the saucer with the burning cone or right after it expires - there is a risk of burning.
