Matching fragrance to the needs of the dosha
Ayurveda, the science of nurturing the body and soul, which originated in India, has a history dating back thousands of years. The doshas - or energies or psychophysical types - are the basis of Ayurvedic methods and condition many elements in human life. Each energy type has different characteristics and varied needs. To maintain balance and vital energy, these differences should be taken into account in all areas of life such as nutrition, beauty treatments and creating one's daily environment. Aromatherapy is a very powerful tool used in ensuring internal balance and stimulating life energy, so also the fragrance surrounding us should be selected according to the dosha.
Characteristics of Pitta
Pitta energy is derived from fire and water. People with Pitta dosha are characterized by an intense, energetic and even fiery nature. They experience everything intensely and feel strong desires and drives. Their lives are significantly affected by stress, mood swings and fits of bad temper. For balance, people with Pitta dosha need to calm down and cool down their hot nature. The aromatherapy kit for Pitta is based on two basic fragrances: lavender and ylang-ylang, whose soothing, sweet aroma restores the body's natural balance and stimulates the vital energy - prana.
The set consists of:
- 25 grams of handmade incense sticks,
- 10 cones,
- ceramic incense cone stand.
- Aromatherapy using incense sticks and scented cones is used to stimulate vital energy and achieve inner balance.
- Place the cones on a special ceramic saucer, which is part of the set.
- The cones can be placed on a special ceramic base.
- For thin incense sticks, use a stone or wooden stand designed for this purpose (not part of the kit). Arrange the incense in the opening of the saucer in such a way that the ashes fall on the saucer - do not use on flammable or delicate surfaces.
- Fire the incense stick, then extinguish with a light blow so that it continues to smoke. Wait a while for the fragrance to develop in the room.
- Make sure the room where you use incense is properly ventilated.
- Do not use incense near flammable objects, especially paper.
- Do not move the saucer with a burning cone or just after it has expired - there is a risk of burning.
